When leading the Celtic band An Drasda in the nineties, there would come a time in each set when I would perform freesong. Usually alone, but sometimes with someone else. On this live recording from 1998, performed at the Freight Room in Decatur, Georgia, drummer Tony Early joined me as I launched into something that was inspired by the repetitive patterns of Scottish bagpipe music with a Morrocan beat.
It was recorded and given a title, and is now mouth music, not freesong. I have performed this again and again. Freesong is something performed once when created, and never again.
